Bhavin Patel of Green Harvest Capital was born in India and moved to Ohio with his family at the age of 9. He has been involved in real estate since the age of 19 and focusing on multi-family apartment assets. Now, Green Harvest Capital owns and operates a thousand units in the region, and the company is vertically integrated with its own construction management, property management, and private equity real estate firms.
Bhavin is bullish on Ohio's potential for resurgence in manufacturing, citing its location at the intersection of upcoming technologies and its strategic location for natural gas power production. He points to Honda's recent investments in the area, including a 4 billion dollar battery plant in Avon and rumors of a massive electric vehicle plant between Columbus and Cincinnati, as evidence of major companies betting on Ohio's potential for production and logistics.
He also highlights the Midwest's history as the foundation for much of the world's infrastructure, with Ohio being home to companies like Standard Oil and Carnegie Steel in the past. With the advent of the EV revolution and a geopolitical pivot towards American-made electric vehicles, Bhavin believes that Ohio is set to become a major player in the manufacturing industry once again, thanks to its existing infrastructure, logistics, transportation, and access to cheap labor and energy.
